Dominic Swords has a background in the City working in Economic Intelligence at the Bank of England during the 80s and has worked in Business Schools for some 20 years including London Business School and Henley Business School. His primary research and consulting covers:

He is a regular contributor to a number of TV and Radio programmes including the the BBC's Financial World Tonight, World Business Report, News 24 and the Money Programme and CNBC's ‘Strictly Money'. Recent subjects have included commentary on topical issues such as economic prospects for the EU and UK, the re-structuring of the European airline industry, financial planning and inheritance, OPEC oil price decisions and the impact of oil prices on industry growth and profitability.
He has over 15 years of international experience having run client projects in the EU, the US, the Far East - in Hong Kong, mainland China, Malaysia and Japan – and Australia.

Bill Moore has been with Brandenburg in a variety of positions for over 26 years. He is a past president of the National Demolition Association and is still active as a member of the board of directors and education committee. Bill is also a regular guest lecturer at Purdue University.

Brandenburg is one of the largest demolition contractors in the United States and is the first and only demolition contractor to be a have earned full VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) status with OSHA.

John Woodward FIDE, RMaPS, FISMM, FILM, FICC, MIConstM is a well respected demolition consultant with current contracts in the UK, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, Egypt, and the Caribbean. His consultancy practice, C&D Consultancy are one of the leading demolition consultants for tower block demolition in the UK and John is the author of the NFDC Tower Block Deconstruction Guidance.

He is an approved NDTG trainer and wrote and delivers the NDTG UK Demolition Manager Course and co-wrote, with Duncan Rudall, the new NDTG High Reach Demolition Machine driver training course.

John is currently the President of The Institute of Demolition Engineers, has been a member of the judging panel for the World Demolition Awards since their conception, and is a regular speaker at Demolition related events throughout Europe.

Alan’s professional life began in the late 1960’s with hands-on experience in the Plumbing and Heating sector running his own contracting business in SW England for 10 years. During the late 70’s Alan’s career lead him to the United States where he held a number of Sales and Marketing roles within the Solar Energy and Refrigeration Industry in both the USA and Japan.

Returning to the UK in the late 80’s he established Select International Ltd, initially as a consultancy but now as a multi-faceted business involved in product development, manufacture, distribution, e-commerce and logistics. The Select Group are the Exploitation Managers for The Alert Project, a European Consortium who are currently developing the world’s first “real-time” airborne asbestos detection equipment.

Fabio Bruno Pinto graduated in Mining Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in 2000 and in Business Administration in 2005 at FGV, both in Brazil. He established his own company in 2001, specialising in the use of explosives, including rock drilling and blasting, tunnels and implosions. Following numerous successful demolitions with no accidents in his career, he has been responsible for many of the more important demolition projects in Brazil, with or without the use of explosives. In 2011, his company received the “Company of the Year” award from the respected Brazilian magazine "O Empreiteiro”, in the Special Services of Engineering sector.

Patrick Frye has been involved in the demolition industry since 1986 and is currently in charge of the major projects carried out by French contractor CARDEM, developing technical solutions to challenging demolition projects as well as managing day-to-day operations on site. The team he has responsibility for controls the entire demolition process, from initial demolition design studies through to blast and vibration control on site.

Tom Stahr is the Emergency Response Division Manager at Robinette Demolition in Chicago, Illinois, in the united States. Tom’s division specializes in emergency response demolition services including shoring and stabilization, asset recovery, loss mitigation, evidence preservation, demolition, debris removal, and evidence storage. In addition, Tom’s division assists both fire investigators and forensic structural engineers with heavy equipment, tools, and specially trained workers on more than 80 investigations a year. Tom regularly trains investigators at the Office of Fire Investigation in Chicago, as well as arson task forces around the Chicago area, on how to utilize demolition companies on fire scenes and disaster sites. In addition, he teaches the Building Construction module of the International Association of Arson Investigators Certified Fire Investigator training course.

Jésula André became in 2005 the first female excavator operator in the SEEUR (Service d’Entretien des Equipement Urbains et Ruraux), a department of the Haïtian Ministry of Transport and Public Works, thanks to her Manager - Engineer Nader JOISEUS, who is extremely active and committed in training and promoting female operators for the SEEUR. Jésula participated to the post January 12th 2010 earthquake efforts to rescue people and demolish dangerous buildings.

Mike Janssens works in Haiti as Operations Manager for UNOPS “demolition and debris removal of 1800 houses” project. He has been working in the relief sector since 1993 in 15 countries of Africa, Asia, Europe and now Haïti, occupying positions in logistics, administration, project management and country direction, in conflict and post conflict countries. Prior to his international career he worked for many years in the beautiful Hôtel Métropole and Cinéma Métropole in Brussels.

David P. Sinclair is a third generation member of a family who have been involved as contractors in the demolition industry since the early 1920s’ and he is followed by his son William who is Managing Director of his own business, Safedem Limited.

David P. Sinclair has wide experience in all aspects of the demolition industry and he specialises in façade retention of historic buildings. He also has wide expertise in demolition by controlled explosives engineering.

Presently, as demolition consultant / expert to UNOPS, he has developed a comprehensive master plan for the demolition and debris removal project involving the demolition and removal of debris arising from 1,800 earthquake damaged buildings located at Carrfour Feuille, Port au Prince, Haiti.

He remains active in the U.K. based, National Federation of Demolition Contractors and is interested in the development by the National Demolition Training Group of comprehensive training programs for operatives deployed in the demolition and dismantling industry.

David P. Sinclair resides with his American born wife Charlotte in Milledgeville, Georgia and he looks forward to participating in the regeneration of his home town.

Duncan Rudall has been in the demolition industry for most of his 20 year working life. He began as a labourer, working his way up through the ranks (ganger, plant operator, site supervisor, contracts/safety manager and director etc). He joined the Institute of Demolition Engineers in 2002 and became a full member in 2005, and has been an active participant ever since, serving on the Council of Management from 2007 to date. He has been fortunate to have been involved with a number of interesting and challenging projects across the UK and Channel Islands. He is very passionate about demolition, an industry that is continually changing for the better, dispelling stigmas and creating a wealth of knowledge and expertise second to none. Working in conjunction with others he now runs his own company providing health & safety training within the demolition industry, specialising in demolition plant and high reach demolition rigs.

Carl Harr is a Technical Sales Specialist for Dust Control Technology with responsibility for domestic and international sales across the Cement, Steel & Slag, and Recycling & Scrap industries. Since joining Dust Control Technology in 2007, Carl has been instrumental in designing and optimizing dust suppression systems in a wide range of applications. He also serves as the company’s subject matter expert (SME) on dust suppression and management within the Demolition industry. Carl’s recent clients include well-known industry names such as Cleveland Wrecking, Brandenburg Industries and Adamo Demolition Company. Prior to joining Dust Control Technology, Carl enjoyed a successful 32 year career as Lithographer in the Printing industry.

Prior to forming IndEx independent explosives engineers in September 2009  Richard was employed by a leading UK demolition company as project manager and senior explosives engineer. During his 16 years with the company he carried out numerous, diverse, successful explosives demolition projects around the world, including projects in the Far east, Middle East, North Africa,  Asia, Mainland Europe and the UK.

Prior to joining the demolition industry he served 25 years military service, specialising in EOD and military demolition operations.

The aim of his company IndEx is to provide an Independent, cost effective explosives service to the demolition industry. Since forming the company he has already been involved in projects in the USA, Qatar, South Africa and the UK.
