HOW TO ENTER
You will find a link to the official Awards Entry Form to the right. Entries should be completed in English (the official language of the European Rental Association) explaining why the nominated company, individual or product should win the award.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Companies wishing to enter the awards should submit their own entry forms. You do not need to wait to be nominated by someone external to your business.
The deadline for awards entries is 17 FEBRUARY 2012

Before submitting your entry please read the guidance Notes and Award Criteria below, and remember that the awards are judged on your activities undertaken in 2011.
Guidance Notes
- The awards are open to ERA members and all other rental companies and suppliers active in the European rental industry. As previously noted, companies wishing to enter the awards should submit their own entry forms.
- Companies can submit entries for more than one award.
- Apanel of five industry professionals representing a broad range of experience will be chosen to judge the entries.
- All entries and supporting materials should be submitted by e-mail and up to a maximum size of 3 MB.
- Unfortunately, no other format will be accepted.
Who can enter?
- Large Rental Company of the Year (turnover over €15 million)
Open to all rental companies operating in Europe. - Small & Mid-Sized Rental Company of the Year (turnover less than €15 million)
Open to all rental companies operating in Europe. - Product of the Year
Any product made commercially available in Europe during 2011. Manufacturers from anywhere in the world are eligible to enter. - Rental Person of the Year
For this award you can recommend a professional in the rental industry for his or her accomplishments, particularly during 2011.
Award Criteria
Rental Company of the Year (turnover above €15 million)
Can you demonstrate an excellent and improving performance in your business in 2011? For example, how have you improved your levels of customer service? Are the training needs of your employees being met, and what investment have you made in your fleet? How are you performing financially? Did you make important initiatives in 2011 that were successful?
Rental Company of the Year (turnover under €15 million)
Can you demonstrate an excellent and improving performance in your business in 2011? For example, how have you improved your levels of customer service? Are the training needs of your employees being met, and what investment have you made in your fleet? How are you performing financially? Did you make important initiatives in 2011 that were successful?
Rental Product of the Year
Has your company offered rental companies a truly innovative product during 2011? Has it created a
genuinely new rental market, or significantly enhanced an existing rental sector, and has it been taken up
successfully by rental companies in Europe? The award applies to products introduced during 2011 and is
open to any supplier that is selling its products in Europe.
The ERA/IRN Rental Person of the Year
This award will recognize an outstanding contribution to Europe’s rental industry in 2011. The award may recognize a significant performance in any one of a number of areas, including safety, sales, operations, fleet management, etc. If you have an employee who has performed superbly in 2011, and who would be deserving of Europe-wide recognition, then let us know.
