Amsterdam is the perfect meeting place for visitors from around the world
Amsterdam is one of the world’s most exciting and vibrant cities. Attractive and open to the world, it’s a city that reflects the personality of its people and always attracts high number of visitors to any exhibition or event held there. The Dutch capital is crammed with historic sites: the picturesque houses, churches, streets, squares, courtyards, countless terraces where you can relax, bridges and canals all evoke images of days long gone by.
But Amsterdam has so much more to offer. Such as a rich cultural program with many theatres and museums, and last but not least a lively night life. Whether you’re looking for an intimate dinner at one of the city’s fine restaurants, take in a movie or a night out until the early hours, Amsterdam has something to satisfy everyone’s taste.

First-time visitors are always amazed at how easy it is to get around Amsterdam. The city itself is compact and a well-designed infrastructure ensures easy access to every part of this ‘global village’. Leave the taxi behind and jump on a tram. Take a cruise through the picturesque canals. Or go truly Dutch and rent a bike!
Extensive transport network
Holland is well known for its excellent rail, road, water and air transportation infrastructure. It is possible to reach any point in the country in a matter of hours and reach any location in the world via Schiphol International Airport, one of Europe’s busiest and best airports, which is a primary hub for European and intercontinental travel. Amsterdam itself has an excellent train, tram, metro and bus network offering fast, low-cost travel in and around Amsterdam.

Excellent accessibility
The RAI Centre is the perfect venue for exhibitions, conferences, seminars and other events. This is partly due to its excellent accessibility, both from within the Netherlands and from abroad. The Centre has its own railway station and is less than ten minutes’ traveling time by train from Schiphol International Airport. Although the RAI Centre is located on the outskirts of Amsterdam, the city centre is just fifteen minutes away by public transport. The express trams are ideal for longer journeys within the city boundaries, and the ordinary trams stop right in front of the RAI and provide a quick and convenient service to all parts of Amsterdam.
Acessibility in brief:
- Schiphol International Airport is only eight minutes from Amsterdam RAI and 15 minutes from the city centre.
- Thalys high-speed train links from Europe stop at Schiphol International Airport and Amsterdam Central Station.
- RAI station is in walking distance, offering access to national and international railway networks.
