IPAF, the International Powered Access Federation, and KHL, the publisher of Access International magazine, are jointly organising the second International Awards for Powered Access (IAPA).

The first were run alongside the IPAF Summit in Dublin, Ireland on 2 April 2009, and the 2010 awards will be held in London UK on Thursday, 25 March. The host hotel is the Grange St. Paul's hotel.

Murray Pollok, Managing Editor of Access International, said; “The first IAPA awards in Dublin were a great success and confirmed the organisers’ belief that there was a demand for an awards ceremony to celebrate and promote excellence in the access industry. The second awards will again be held alongside IPAF’s Summit conference – taking place in London in March, 2009 – and we are confident that it will repeat the success of the first awards. We urge everyone in the access business – manufacturers, distributors, rental companies and training organizations – to consider submitting an award for the 2010 awards.”

“These first awards for the access industry are a true recognition of excellence, as nominees are being judged by their peers,” said IPAF managing director Tim Whiteman. “We are looking for entries from all around the world and are particularly looking for nominations for the IPAF Safety Champion of the Year.”

The IAPA promises to be a successful annual event that salutes best practice, raises the profile of the access sector worldwide and provides a top-class networking opportunity for rental companies, end users and suppliers.
