Each year American Cranes & Transport's ACT 100 continues to grow. In 2011 a further 18 companies were added, making this the largest and most comprehensive list of US crane companies ever.

The ACT 100 surveys companies throughout the US, Canada and Mexico, asking them for information about their crane fleets and capacities.

Companies are listed by their ACT 100 Index, which is calculated by adding together the maximum lifting capacities in US tons of all crawler cranes and mobile cranes in a company's fleet.

The ACT 100 also contains the following listings:
