Tree surgeons in Littlehampton, Sussex used a 17 m working height Ascendant access platform to repair damage from high winds that swept across the county in August. The machine was rented from Facelift GB Ltd, based in Hickstead, West Sussex.

One incident involved surveying the standing remnants of a large tree, part of which had fallen.

A spokesman for Facelift said, "It's very common for us to be called in to assist tree surgeons to make situations like this free from further risk. This type of machinery allows you easy access to all areas without having to put anyone in harms way."
