IAPA access awards - it's nearly time

Written by Maria Hadlow - 09 Mar 2010

The second IAPAs (International Awards for Powered Access) will soon be upon us. Jointly organised by Access International and IPAF (International Powered Access Federation), the event will be held on the evening of 25 March, following the IPAF Summit at the Grange St Paul's Hotel in London.

The Summit and the awards are an ideal opportunity to get together with other industry professionals and share your expertise and experience of the current climate and expectations for the coming months.

The event kicks-off with a networking event at the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms on the evening of 24 March. Sponsored by Henderson Insurance Brokers, the evening will have a 1940's feel.

IPAF's AGM and the election of the new president takes place on the 25 March followed by the Summit in the afternoon. The event culminates with the presentation of the IAPAs at the awards' dinner.

John Ball IPAF's president said, ""It was great to see so many high quality entries this year, maintaining the standard that was established at the first awards ceremony. In particular, the entries showed that the industry's commitment to quality, safety and professionalism is surviving this difficult economic period.

"Our industry is clearly now mature enough to support an annual awards event. Over 400 people attended the awards dinner in Dublin last year, and we hope to exceed that in London."

Indeed, tickets are going fast, with over 340 already sold for the IAPA dinner, now is the time to book your place if you haven't already done so. Tickets for the IAPAs, the networking event and the Summit can be obtained at www.IPAF.org/iapa
