Brand tops ALH’s Scaffold20 list

American Lift & Handlers' first ever listing of North America's top 20 largest scaffold erectors and dismantlers is now available in the July/August 2010 issue. The survey is a starting point and we hope it provokes debate and conversation within the industry.

Topping the list is Brand Scaffold with 2009's revenue of an estimated $850 million which represents about 15 percent of the estimated $5.6 billion value of the scaffold market in North America.

The Scaffold20 was researched during spring and early summer 2010. We have measured the top 20 by revenues for 2009, in some cases using published figures, in others using data provided by companies directly and for some companies, making our own estimates.

Following Brand is Safway Services with revenues of $700 million. The list provides some indication of the degree of consolidation of the North American scaffolding sector, with the top 20 companies having an estimated $2.6 billion worth of revenues, which represents around 46 percent of the total market. Our top five companies represent an estimated 41 percent of the market.
