Manchester project for Galliford Try

Written by Sandy Guthrie - 07 Jan 2013

Galliford Try is part of a partnership that has been chosen as preferred bidder for the £100 million (€123 million) regeneration of an area of east Manchester, UK.

Solutions for Brunswick (S4B), led by investor and fund manager Equitix, includes UK housebuilding and construction firm Galliford Try, and Contour Homes, one of North West England’s largest registered social landlords.

The regeneration programme will be in the Brunswick area of east Manchester, providing 522 new homes as well as new community facilities, including an Extra Care centre and retail units. Extensive infrastructure works and remodelling will also be carried out.

Repairs and maintenance contractor Mears will refurbish a further 653 homes and provide ongoing facilities management services under the project.
