The European Demolition Association has confirmed the programme for the forth-coming conference in Istanbul on 6-8 November 2008.

As always, the event will kick off with a cocktail reception in the venue, the Ceylan Intercontinental Hotel, on the Thursday night.

On Friday morning, the first topic will be a comparison of the results on the survey on the use of high reach equipment carried out in Rome during the last EDA event against the NFDC’s published guidance notes. The rest of day one will be devoted to an examination of the best practice in a number of countries where education and training for the demolition industry is concerned, along with workshops on the topic. These will be interspersed with short presentations from the manufacturers sponsoring the event.

The second morning will focus on the various European and national authorisations required for the use of demolition equipment, with a goal of outlining how a unified European standard might be defined, once again interspersed with sponsor presentations.

There will be the usual full social schedule, of course, with an informal dinner on the Friday night and a Gala Dinner on the Saturday evening, along with a full partners programme.
