International Construction's league table of the world's 200 largest construction companies is now available in the July-August edition of the magazine.

This unique study not only provides rankings of the industry's big players, but also offers in-depth analysis of the changes in the industry over the last year.

In this video, International Construction's Editor, Chris Sleight talks through some of the most significant changes since last year's league table has been compiled.

It has been a year of upheaval for the global construction industry, with the downturn in US residential construction sending many American house builders plummeting down the standings.

Stagnation in Japan has also led to falls for many of the large Japanese groups, while booming developing markets - most notably China - have lifted contractors from these countries up the rankings.
