NZ Crane Group access sold to Hirepool
New Zealand Crane Group has sold its New Zealand Access Hire division to Hirepool for an undisclosed sum.
Deane Manley, New Zealand Crane Group managing director, said that divesting its access equipment business "has been on our radar for some time and, with Hirepool already having a well-established presence, we saw that as the ideal solution. It enables us to concentrate on our core business of hiring cranes that also require skilled operators, which has always been our speciality."
The NZ Access Hire fleet includes elevated work platforms, light towers and telehandlers. Mark Powell, Hirepool chief executive, put the replacement value of the NZ fleet of Genie machines at about NZ$12 million (US$10 million).
