Vermeer appoints two division presidents

Vermeer has promoted Jason Andringa as president of its forage and environmental solutions division while Doug Hundt has been named president of the underground and specialty excavation business.

The two will co-chair the Vermeer executive team, reporting to Mary Andringa, who remains the company’s chief executive officer.

Jason Andringa, who is a member of the family that owns Vermeer, has been with the company since June 2005, most recently as vice president with responsibility for distribution and global accounts.

Mr Hundt has spent 19 years at Vermeer in sales, marketing, product development and manufacturing roles. He became a vice president in 1999 and was most recently group vice president for the industrial business. In his new role he will oversee the underground and excavation segments, as well as international entities and emerging markets.

In addition, Vermeer has appointed Tony Briggs as vice president, sales and distribution. Mr Briggs joined Vermeer in 1998 and has worked in marketing, sales and various management positions. He was most recently director of underground solutions.

Vermeer, based in Pella, Iowa, US, manufactures tub and horizontal grinders, brush chippers, stump cutters and tree spades, as well as horizontal directional drilling systems, mini skid steers, utility and track trenchers and agricultural products.
