Ramirent wins outsourcing deal with Finnish contractor
Finnish contractor Oka Oy has outsourced its construction equipment fleet to Ramirent Finland and signed a five year rental agreement with the company.
Oka, which is a subsidiary of the Lemminkäinen Group, is a €235 million turnover contractor operating in southern Finland but is also active in Russia. The company focuses on renovation and new construction work.
Jorma Tamminen, managing director of Oka Oy, said; "We have a long experience of working with Ramirent. With this agreement we can continue our good cooperation and at the same time release capital that has been tied up in our machinery operation. This solution adds flexibility and simplifies our fleet management".
Kari Aulasmaa, Ramirent's senior vice president for Finland and Europe East, said he was pleased to strengthen the relationship between the two companies; "Outsourcing deals are an important part of our strategy in building customer relationships".
Ramirent Finland Oy had sales of €155 million in 2008 and operated nationwide through 80 depots and 600 employees.
