JLG's new Rental Series scissor lifts

JLG Industries, Inc. introduced two new electric scissor lifts at The Rental Show, Feb. 5-8 in New Orleans. The Rental Series 1932RS and 3248RS offer 19 feet and 32 feet platform heights respectively. The 1932RS has a 500-pound lift capacity and the 3248RS has a 705-pound lift capacity. The machines are slated for production in April.

The units both feature passive pothole protection which elimates more than 70 moveable parts found on the active pot hole protection of the ES scissor line series. Both have direct electric drive motors.

"The premise of this machine is rugged but with a simple design," Jeff Ford, JLG's Director, Global Product Management, told Access, Lift & Handlers at the show. "There are only four hydraulic hoses on the entire machines, which lowers leak points so there's less likelyhood of any leak issue."

Battery storage has been put on one side of the machine and does not have a pull-out drawer making it "easily accessible." Both models also have the ability to traverse grades of up to 25 percent.
