Belgium-based lift and transport company Roll-iT, a partnership between Aertssen Kranen (Aertssen Group) and Ivens Transport & Kraanbedrijf (Ivens Group), has taken delivery of 24 axle lines of Scheuerle split self propelled modular transporter (SPMT).

The split version of SPMT can be divided in half to form 3-file combinations and is designed for transport routes where space is restricted, the manufacturer said.

Tom van Runckelen, Roll-iT account and project manager, said, “Last week was the busiest week since our start with SPMTs. For three of the five days, we had 168 axles on the move, of which 104 where rented to various parties. The standardisation of the Scheuerle SPMT gives us the flexibility to react to the increasing demand that we are currently facing.”

Bernd Schwengsbier, TII Sales (Scheuerle) managing director, added, “Roll-iT is a perfect example for what happens when entrepreneurialism, expertise and the right equipment are combined strategically.”
