Big Astor enters low level access platform market

23 April 2015

Following its Pedestrian Tunnel Genius designed to protect pedestrians from falling objects on building sites, Italy-based Big Astor has launched its Genius Mak 1 ultralight scissor lift at Intermat.

The machine is the first access platform. It is powered by rechargeable batteries and can reach a working height of 4 m. It is supplied with self-blocking wheels for efficient movement on worksites.

The product is made entirely of aluminium and weighs about about 75 kg so it can be easily transported. Its compact dimensions are also designed to aid transportation – in closed configuration it measures 1.15 m x 0.78 m x 0.52 m.

Big Astor says the Mak 1 can be used indoors and outdoors or for any task up to 4 m high, from the construction and industrial sectors to the mechanical and electrical sectors.
