Intermat goes to Thailand

Intermat, the international trade show for construction machinery and materials, has launched a new show in Bangkok, Thailand, set to take place in June 2017.

Intermat ASEASN will open on 8 June and run for three days, finishing on 10 June.

Intermat has linked up with Impact, the organiser of the Constech show, which will now be branded as Intermat ASEAN, and will host 300 exhibiting companies, as well as an anticipated 5,000 visitors.

Intermat ASEAN will see a range of construction products on show, including the production and use of construction materials, earthmoving, civil engineering, concrete manufacture, buildings and work sites, lifting, handling, drilling, boring, road infrastructures, mining and quarry equipment, vehicles and transportation, components and accessories, demolition and recycling.

Isabelle Alfano, Intermat show director, said, “I am very proud to bring Intermat in Bangkok and to be a partner of Impact, a renowned show organizer.

“Thailand is a fast growing country with strong construction challenges and, being present in Thailand will enable Intermat to spread all around ASEAN countries.

Loy Joon How, general manager for Impact, said, “ASEAN is one of the world's most dynamic and fast growing regions, and Thailand is strategically located within the heart of the region.

“With the launch of the ASEAN economic community, comprising 600 million people, connectivity is the key for trade and economic growths.”

He added that the ASEAN region required investments of US$ 60 billion a year to support its infrastructure development needs.
