Bauma debut for concept electric mini
04 April 2019
Manufacturer Kobelco will preview its concept for an electric mini excavator at the Bauma construction equipment exhibition in Germany next week.
Named the 17SR, the company said the fully electric machine will be able to perform at the top of its class, with zero emissions, low noise operation and reduced life cycle costs.
The development of the electric mini excavator concept is a joint endeavour with German engine manufacturer Deutz.
Kobelco said the concept, once realised, would feature a long-life battery and would be available on the European market in 2021. Kobelco added that its future plans are focused on expanding advanced technologies to promote a sustainable society.
Kobelco will have a significant presence at Bauma, at which the company said it will exhibit a range of over 25 excavators and crawler cranes.
