Paolo Balugani has been appointed as Palfinger’s new global access platforms product line leader.

The access equipment manufacturer, which has recently undergone a new organisational set-up, said that in addition to retaining his position as the managing director of Palfinger Italy, that Balugani would now also be responsible for the strategic global development of the company’s access platform product portfolio.

According to Palfinger, Balugani had previously founded two aerial platform manufacturing companies, Oil & Steel in 1995 and Sky Access in 2011. The company said that during his 30 year career Balugani had held both technical and leadership roles, before joining Palfinger in 2013.

Speaking of his new role, Balugani said, “It is a pleasure to take over this challenging position. Thanks to the Palfinger family and the Board for the trust they have placed in me. I will do my best to lift up the Palfinger AWP potential across the globe by implementing a common strategy and being close to our customers and markets. Through the collaboration of the different production plants and related R&D we will work more and more together to create a massive proposal for our customers worldwide.”
