Engines manufacturer Briggs & Stratton has announced a shake-up of its EMEA sales and marketing division, with a view to driving future growth in the region.

As part of its new strategy, the company said it will be sharpening its focus on commercial engines, battery technology and the rental industry.

A repositioning of personnel has also been announced, with Florian Mayer heading the division as senior director of Sales & Marketing for EMEA and Patrick Limberg the director of sales in the Commercial Engines & Power division.

Other personnel moves include Benjamin Mottaz, as director of sales in Consumer Engines EMEA, and Pierre Olivier Izac, regional sales manager for MEA & India, with both based in the regional head office in Switzerland.

Business planning and administration will be led by Uta Hackstein, senior manager in Business Planning and Sales.

Mottaz, Izac and Hackstein will all work out of Briggs & Stratton’s Switzerland office, while Limberg will be based in Germany.

In the Engines and Power division – and also based in the Swiss office – Paul Bramhall is now director of marketing for the EMEA region and will oversee the new marketing strategy for the utility and residential engine and battery business.

Mayer said of the new direction, “Our company has a proud past and an even stronger future with the recent developments and repositioning.

“The expertise and resources we have available to us now will not only enable us to better support our existing lawn and garden customer base, but will also enable us to invest in the development of game changing innovations and technologies with regards to applying power, particularly with regard to commercial engines, rental and electrification.’’
