Three remote control models are now available: RC-X, RC-S, and RC-SP. Each model comprises a transmitter and receiver and can either be retrofitted with existing JDN solutions or combined with new JDN hoists and cranes.

According to JDN, a key feature of the new receivers is their rigid, compact design. All components are housed in a space-saving, shock-resistant glass-reinforced plastic casing with dust and water protection class IP65. A breathable membrane guides any condensation away from the interior to the exterior, claimed JDN. The design also offers seawater-resistance for offshore applications, while the RC-X model is rated up to ATEX zone 2/22 making it suitable for use in potentially explosive environments.

JDN said the new remote controls are easy to install and the portable transmitter offers up to 20 hours of use before recharging is required.
