UK rental company Nationwide Platforms has been awarded Approved Training Organisation (ATO) status by Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), it has announced.

To achieve ATO status, the company followed a CITB approval process that included review of the courses offered by Nationwide Platforms, and the associated standards and qualifications.

Nationwide said that its new status as a CITB approved training organisation would provide a range of important benefits to customers who would be able to quickly and easily book IPAF and PASMA training courses with Nationwide Platforms through CITB’s new construction training directory.

The launch of the CITB’s new online Construction Training Directory in April 2018 follows a government review and industry consultation into the way training for the construction industry is supported.

The new online directory lists training programmes, qualifications, courses and standards which are eligible for grant funding.

Phil Wainwright, interim managing director of Nationwide Platforms, said, “We are delighted to have been awarded CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO) status. The launch of this new approach from the CITB represents a significant and positive change within the construction industry.

“It will allow our customers to source training for their employees online, check employee achievements, and claim CITB grant payments more simply and efficiently. As a nationwide provider of IPAF training, with CITB ATO status, we will now feature on the CITB Training Directory making it much easier for levy paying customers to find and book our training courses.”
