Eiffage for hydropower plant

French contractor Eiffage has been awarded a turnkey design-build contract for the Singrobo-Ahouaty hydropower plant in Côte d’Ivoire.

Worth almost €110 million, the contract was awarded by Ivory Hydro Energy and along with the civil engineering design it covers the manufacture, installation and commissioning of all hydromechanical, electromechanical and electrical equipment.

Using the expertise of its subsidiaries Eiffage Génie Civil and Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, Eiffage will construct a mixed rock and concrete dam, a spillway, a plant housing the turbines, a rejection channel, a departure station, a line connecting the plant to the plant network, temporary facilities and access roads.

Work on the 44MW plant will begin in the first quarter of 2019 and will take three years to complete.
