2 Cousins Powered Access is growing its hire fleet with the addition of its first Snorkel lifts.

The UK-based company took an initial delivery of two A38E electric articulated boom lifts from Snorkel UK in early July, which is the first part of a new order and larger investment into its fleet. The lifts were handed over by Scott Holtby, area sales manager for Snorkel UK, and went out on hire the following day with positive initial feedback from customers.

As a member of Access Link, an association of regional powered access companies, 2 Cousins Powered Access can provides a nationwide service across the UK and Ireland from a single point of contact, accessing 27 depots and more than 4,400 powered access units.

Of the decision to add Snorkel to its well-established hire fleet, Jason Prisley, managing director at 2 Cousins said, “We were on the lookout for some new product lines to enhance our customer offering when Scott approached us with the Snorkel A38E. Claudio and I took a trip to Snorkel’s UK factory earlier this year to see the range of machines we had in mind, all in one place. The A38E particularly appealed to us due to its unrivaled working height in its class and the hugely reduced turning circle. The environmental benefits of a purely electric lift with such a long duty cycle also fitted with our expectations for how the market will change and move for the future.”

The electric articulated boom lift  can reach a working height of up to 13.5m. Designed for internal and external use, the zero emission  articulating/telescopic boom configuration is capable of lifting up to 215kg, the Snorkel A38E comes equipped with non-marking high grip tyres, efficient direct DC electric drive, and Snorkel Guard secondary guarding as standard.

Prisley added, “With this order, we have not only grown the fleet whilst some are shrinking, but we have added a brand-new product which has different features and benefits to our current machines. This is something we value in order to fulfil all of our customers’ requirements nationally.”

Andrew Fishburn, managing director of Snorkel UK and vice president, strategic cccounts for Snorkel (EMEA), said, “I would like to thank Jason and Claudio for their investment into Snorkel, it’s great to see a company with such an excellent reputation putting their faith and trust into our machines and brand.”
