Riwal has appointed Marc Johnson to be its national technical manager in the UK.

He will be responsible for all issues relating to the quality and technical specification of the company’s equipment at a time when it is rapidly expanding its hire fleet and sales offer.

Johnson has more than 20 years’ experience in powered access hire, sales and operations management, and spent the last 10 years at Nationwiode Platforms, now owned by Loxam Group, latterly as its national technical director.

Riwal UK country manager Mick Ledden said, “We’re delighted that Marc has joined Riwal UK. His experience, expertise and leadership qualities will be pivotal to our plans to expand our services while providing customers with the most technically-capable powered access solutions on the market.

“Here in the UK, our customers will benefit from investment of nearly €100 million (£88 million) in Riwal’s fleet during 2019 – 75% of which will be for fleet expansion – and Marc will be at the centre of the decision-making involved in bringing these machines on-stream.”

johnson added, “There’s an energy and excitement about Riwal here in the UK, and it is being fully supported by a global business, which gives us great opportunities to deliver fantastic value across all commercial sectors.”
