Airo will present the new A18JRTD Xtreme articulated boom lift at the GIS show in Piacenza, Italy, this week.
The 18.45m working height diesel-powered machine has been designed for maximum off road capablity, with particular attention to the environment and reducing fuel consumption, said the manufacturer. The model will be followed by a hybrid version soon.
Maximum working range of the new model is 9.9m outreach, with an up and over height of 8.5m. It has a dual platform capacity of 400kg or 300kg including three people in the basket. The rough terrain performance includes 4-wheel drive and four-wheel steer with self locking axles, as well as an oscillating axle. It is powered by an 18.8 kW Stage V/Tier 4 final certified without DPF.
The control system has integrated diagnostics with ground controls via the manufacturer’s Advanced Touch Control System touch display, with simple and intuitive icons.
Capable of working a gradient of 40%, the model is also driveable at maximum height. Further features include a 180° horizontal jib and 2.4m basket, with the aim of providing a versatile machine with maximum performances in the 18m boom lift category.
The GIS lifting, access and specialized transport show takes place 3-5 October.
