Dale Blackwell, the longtime executive director of the California Rental Association, and owner of Aba Daba Rents, died on April 15 following complications of a traumatic brain injury. The 65-year-old served as the CRA’s executive director for 14 years and was a part of the American Rental Association and its ARAPAC, the organization’s political action committee.
Blackwell is survived by his parents, Gene and Betty; his wife, Victoria; his five children, Kerri Costarella (John), Scott, Jeffrey, Randall (Alison) and Jena; siblings, Bob, Dianne and Christine; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the family will hold a celebration of life on a later date. Donations may be made to the Rental Services Industry Foundation (RSIF) or a local animal shelter in Blackwell’s name.
