Ramirent to expand Swedish operations
Ramirent has sold its 50% holding in Stavdal Lift AB, the Swedish aerial platform rental company, and will establish a much larger Ramirent-branded aerial rental business in Sweden. The sale price was not disclosed.
Lavendon trims German Zooom operation
Lavendon has announced a major restructuring of its German Zooom powered access rental operation. 1250 machines will be taken from the fleet, with 400 going into the UK, France (where the fleet will grow to 1000) and the Middle East. The remainder will be sold into the used equipment markets in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Southern Asia and the Far East. The company is also closing 24 depots with the loss of 100 jobs.
