Infrastructure largest recipient of BNDES disbursements in last 12 months
The Brazilian Development Bank BNDES (Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social) made record disbursements of BRL 78.8 billion (US$ 49.5 billion) in the 12 months to June 2008, an increase of +34% over the previous 12-month period, according to a statement on the bank's website.
Balfour Beatty revenues and profit up in 1st half
Balfour Beatty has reported continued growth in the first half of 2008 with sales up +28% on the same period in 2007 to UK£ 4,3 billion (€ 5,5 billion). Pre-tax profit also increased +25% to UK£ 95 million (€ 120 million).
