United Kingdom-based demolition and civil engineering contractor Hawkes Group has expanded its fleet of medium sized excavators.

Hawkes, which has recently added two new directors and shareholders to its senior team, added the three new Hyundai machines to its demolition division in order to fulfil further demolition contracts.

The new additions include Hyundai’s tracked HX145 LCR model, which features a Perkins and a maximum digging depth of 5.5 m (18ft) and a digging height of 9.3 m (30 ft).

The company procured the equipment after receiving funding of £225,000 (US$291,000) from finance provider and SME (small and medium sized enterprise) funder Simply Asset Finance.

Penny Dee, national sales manager at Simply, said: “Hawkes Group has always been a very professional, successful, customer-focused business. The business’ credentials have gone from strength to strength and now, with an expanded senior team, I look forward to seeing the leaps it will take in the future.”
