WDS 2018 – first speakers confirmed

15 February 2018

The first speakers for this year’s World Demolition Summit (WDS) have been named – with the event already well on the way to replicating the high-profile international speaker line ups for which it has become well known.

This year’s event, the 10th in the summit’s illustrious history, takes place in Dublin, Ireland, on November 7 and 8. Once again it will combine an evening reception followed by a technical conference the next day and an evening awards dinner, all with plentiful networking opportunities.

Included in the 2018 speaker line up will be Artem Kondratiev of the Russian demolition contractor Raz-Max, who will talk about the challenges facing demolition companies in that part of the world.

From the USA, Dave Murray from the State of Nevada will talk about the international implications of recent developments in OSHA legislation on dust control, following the successful related presentation by lawyer Mark Lies in Miami two years ago.

Also on stage will be multiple World Demolition Awards winner Erith Contractors. The company was selected by our vastly experienced international judging panel as 2017’s “Best of the Best” for its execution of the Marble Arch Place project in London, and this year’s audience can hear in detail precisely what made the job so special. The speaker will be named in due course.

Finally we are also delighted to welcome back the keynote speaker from 2017, Richard Vann, who will chair one of the sessions this year.
