More than 700 companies are currently on the waiting list for Bauma - the world’s biggest construction equipment exhibition taking in place next April in Munich, Germany. Now, for the first time, those companies are being offered the chance to have a presence at the show without an exhibition booth.

Under the new initiative, companies on the waiting list will be able to have the company name listed in the Bauma directory and have access to a special lounge where they can make appointments and hold meetings during the exhibition. Depending on the package of services booked, the new initiative will cost between €3000 and €5000 per company listing.

Klaus Dittrich, CEO of organiser Messe München, said, "We want to give companies that we have been unable to accommodate in the past an opportunity to call the Bauma community's attention to themselves and their products and to make contacts during the fair." By the start of November (2015) around 17 companies had signed up to be part of the Bauma 2016 digital network, as the new service is called.
