Eden renewed
19 March 2008
The Eden project is a series of ‘biomes'built in an abandoned open cast clay mine, where plants from around the world are grown–and everything on the site has to recycled as a principle. So when the Project decided to remove an old asphalt ca park, it determined to crush the resulting waste and reuse it on site.
Waste Disposal Services, based in Penzance, was contracted to supply its RM60 compact static crusher to carry out the work. The machine was taken to the site on the back of a hook–lift lorry and then set up ready for work in just ten minutes. The machine took just two days to process over 600 tonnes of asphalt waste.
