North American mast climbing specialist, Hydro Mobile, says it is looking forward to a period of growth despite the current recession.

The US recession and the daily stories of companies struggling to find sufficient cash for equipment investments has led Hydro Mobile to develop a new set of tools and programmes to support its existing and potential service centres. The company is now ready to unveil a new marketing campaign that will introduce these improvements to the market.

The unveiling is expected to be at the World of Concrete exhibition, held in Las Vegas in January next year.

Benoit Duplessis, president of Hydro Mobile said, "Restructuring under new owner AGF Group last January brought Hydro Mobile a solid financial backup, we have kept a low profile ever since. Meanwhile, our management team has developed and structured a new service offer that is beneficial to all our customers.

"We know how hard distribution and contracting companies have been hit by the recession and we are proud to announce that Hydro Mobile now holds the key to giving these companies stronger financial, operational and technical support. We offer new services and support that facilitate activities, decrease costs and, most importantly, make the way for more profit opportunities."

Hydro Mobile's new offering includes financing options and payment facilities, consignment and sub-rental, inventory and fleet management systems and more support programs to answer the specific needs of distribution companies. The Canadian manufacturer is promising to support existing and potential Hydro Mobile service centres by allowing them to manage the risks and costs of equipment acquisition and new market development, while rapidly helping them to produce measurable results.

"One of the key elements within our approach is Hydro Mobile's new involvement on the used equipment market," said Mr Duplessis. "We can now offer a choice of warranted machines at a very competitive price to our existing and new customers. In parallel, we have developed a programme that will facilitate equipment trading between service centres, allowing fleet upgrades at a reduced cost."

A lot of effort has been put into distrtibution because, said, Mr Duplessis "Our profitability depends on the profitability of our customers, from contractors to GCs and service centres."

Hydro Mobile has drawn on its 25-year experience of the industry to design its new tools, Mr Duplessis said "With such a valuable knowledge of the access distribution business, we were able to develop this custom-made set of tools for our service centres. We are convinced that these programmes will rapidly bring them new profit opportunities!"
