Esplosione di Supernova, by Giuliano Melioli, graces Controls' new HQ

Controls Group has announced it is moving to a new headquarters.

The Italian company, a global leader in the production of testing equipment for the construction industry, has been operating from the historical site of Cernusco sul Naviglio for 30 years.

The new factory in Liscate, 17 km east of Milan, is just a few km from the original HQ – but represents a major upgrade in facilities, giving Controls Group the ability to meet increased production requirements.

The Liscate factory also provides Controls Group with a strategically superior location, at the intersection of two major new road networks.

The new site has an interior area of over 8,000 m2, and a total area of 22,000 m2, approximately twice the size of the original location.

As well as having a significant area set aside for research and development, logistics and materials handling, the new venue has space set aside for showcasing new products, and can also accommodate staff undertaking training courses.

At the recent Open Day for employees and their families, a work by the artist Giuliano Melioli was unveiled, and will now decorate the entrance hall.

According to the Controls Group release, the science-based artwork – Esplosione di Supernova – “highlights the significance that evolution plays in every field of human history”, and “characterises the company over the last 50 years of life”.
