Hyundai Core Motion, a subsidiary of Hyundai Construction Equipment, has established a new parts distribution centre in Miami, Florida, US to enhance its services related to construction equipment parts.
The new Miami Parts Distribution Center will supply approximately 14,000 A/S parts for excavators, wheeled loaders and forklifts to 27 countries in Latin America, including Mexico, Colombia, and Chile.
Hyundai Core Motion is the construction equipment parts business that was split from Hyundai Construction Equipment in April of last year. The company produces parts for heavy equipment, such as main control valves for excavators, pumps, motors, and cylinders.
The establishment of this distribution centre is expected to significantly reduce the company’s delivery period for construction equipment parts. It will be reduced, on average, from six weeks to two weeks for regular orders and from four to two days on average for emergency orders.
In addition to the Miami distribution centre, Hyundai Core Motion has been operating parts distribution centres in Eumseong, South Korea, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company plans to further increase its parts supply rate by utilising overseas supply chains in locations such as the US, Belgium, Brazil, China, and India.
An official at Hyundai Core Motion said, “When customers purchase construction equipment such as excavators and wheel loaders, smooth supply and service of A/S parts are one of the most important selection criteria.”
