Sarens Mega Project achieves 2.000.000 Manhours without a Lost Time Incident

Belgium based heavy lift and transport specialist, Sarens is currently executing the largest project in their history, offloading, trans-shipping, transporting and installing modules, and process plant for an oil and gas industry mega project in the Caspian region.

The scale of the operation dictates that over 850 Sarens employees are working exclusively on the project, managing and operating two trans-shipment bases in Eastern Europe, a purpose built port in the Caspian, four barges, 2000 axle-lines of modular trailers, a 4000T capacity hydraulic gantry, 40 cranes including the 3200T capacity SGC 140 and more than 120 support vehicles, ranging from prime movers to telehandlers.

Despite the harsh climatic conditions and the high risk potential of the work being executed, the Sarens project team recently reached the notable milestone of completing 2.000.000 manhours worked without a single lost time incident.
