Lifting industry event LiftEx 2018, organised by the UK’s Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA), will take place at the Arena MK in Milton Keynes on 14 and 15 November.

The show is in its 14th year and, according to LEEA, provides a dedicated event to address a whole range of lifting sector issues. Lifting equipment, wire rope, lifting rings, load monitoring devices, chains, winches, ropes cords and height safety equipment will all be represented by more than 80 equipment manufacturers.

The event will also incorporate the LiftEx 2018 Awards Dinner – a new awards scheme developed by LEEA to reward its members and their employees who have made significant contributions to the lifting industry. It will take place on 14 November. More information is at: www.liftex.org

LEEA is also seeking to recruit an industry expert to join its technical team to support the association’s global membership.

The association explains that a key service it provides is to support its members in technical matters. To fulfil this commitment it provides guidance documents, holds technical committee meetings, provides one-to-one technical support and runs technical support surgeries where members can discuss issues with an acknowledged expert.

LEEA said that, as its membership has grown and the complexity of the industry increased, its existing technical team now needs more capacity. Consequently, it is looking to recruit an industry expert able to provide detailed technical advice to its global membership in person, by email and when presenting papers and leading discussions at LEEA meetings around the world.

Interested candidates should contact LEEA’s HR officer Jessica Coxsedge at: jessica.coxsedge@leeaint.com. LEEA assures that all contact will be in confidence.
