Digital tracking technology is to play an important role in Kennards Hire’s new depot in Mornington, in the south of Australia.

VIC - Mornington Branch - Ariel View

The new 3,000m2 facility is located at 988 Nepean Highway, Mornington

Cloud-based and Bluetooth equipment tracking will be used to gather real-time data to help with preventative maintenance and to monitor how efficiently the machines are running. It was said that this would help to improve safety at the facility.

Customer and staff safety is a key focus at the new branch, which also has designated zones and mechanical devices for the safe loading and unloading of equipment.

Anthony Clarke, Branch Manager said, “The initiatives we’ve put in place will really place safety at the core of our customer’s visit to our branch.”

The 3,000m2 facility is located at 988 Nepean Highway and brings the company’s network of depots in Vitoria to 31. In total, Kennards has more than 180 depots across Australia and New Zealand.

The new depot will offer a range of equipment to support local trades, residential and commercial construction, recreational industries, and DIY enthusiasts across the Southern Peninsula.

Clarke said, “As a family-owned business, it’s important to us that we support the communities that our people live and work in.”

The depot is open seven days a week.
