Herc expands brand in North America

Herc Rentals has announced it will expand its brand across its North American operations, resulting in a change of name for Hertz Equipment Rental in Canada.

The company has approximately 40 locations and employs approximately 700 people across Canada. Overall, the company has approximately 275 locations, principally in North America, and employs approximately 4,900 people.

Larry Silber, president and CEO, said, “While it will take some time to fully convert our signage, fleet and showrooms, we are excited to begin the transition to using Herc Rentals as our main brand across our operations in Canada.

“We already operated as a unified North American team; now, we are pleased to continue working together to serve our customers across North America under the same powerful Herc Rentals brand.”

Meanwhile, Earl Ducharme, region vice president – Canada, said, “The opportunity to grow the Herc Rentals brand in Canada represents a unique moment in time for us to celebrate a rich history, having proudly operated for 20 years in Canada.

“Focusing on the Herc Rentals brand in Canada will allow us to highlight what we are best at: motivated, aligned and engaged team members delivering the highest levels of customer service in the equipment rental industry.”
