National Trench Safety (NTS), the Texas-based company that rents trench and traffic safety equipment, has acquired certain operating assets of Shore and Pour based in Chinnor, UK, west of London.

NTS first entered the UK market last year with a single depot in the Leeds area. The Shore and Pour acquisition will expand its coverage as part of an “aggressive growth plan” for the UK.

“We are extremely excited to be expanding our presence in England,” said Ron Chilton, President of NTS. “Gary daLuz Vieira, owner and founder of Shore and Pour, is a personal friend and he’s built a good business servicing the Southern UK market that we believe will serve as a strong platform for our future growth.

“We’ve been very diligent in our planning for the UK market, beginning with the opening of our first depot in Leeds last year. The ability to acquire certain operating assets of Shore and Pour allows us to continue to press forward with our aggressive growth plan in the UK.”

The Chinnor operation will be managed by Patrick Flannery, National Trench Safety UK’s Managing Director, who is a veteran of the UK shoring market.

“Pat has done a tremendous job of introducing NTS to the marketplace,” said Chilton. “Pat has been able to deftly blend some of our market leading products in the US with traditional products offered in England, to provide some real game changing solutions for the customer base in England. ”

NTS said it plans to open several additional branch locations in the USA and at least one UK depot in 2019. The Chinnor operation is the company’s 35th branch location in the United States and UK.
