New recruitments at Mecalac’s UK operations

Mecalac Construction Equipment UK has added to its European sales operations team with the appointment of two new staff, both of whom will be location at its facility in Coventry, UK.

Paul Kimberlin has been appointed head of sales, while Ben Agar will take up the position of regional business manager for Central and Southern Europe.

Mecalac – which recently acquired its Coventry facility from Terex – said that Mr Kimberlin had over a decade’s experience in the construction industry, and most recently served as managing director of pumping business Putzmeister.

In his new role, Mr Kimberlin will be responsible for developing relationships across international markets and growing the Mecalac distributor network, as well as communicating the brand messages. He will oversee a team of regional business managers and is undertaking a series of distributor visits, having already visited Spain, Portugal, Poland and the Czech Republic, said Mecalac.

Meanwhile, Mr Ager has over 20 years of experience in farm machinery and construction equipment with companies such as AGCO Corporation and JCB.

Alongside building close relationships with the Mecalac distributor network, his key responsibilities will include supporting compact equipment sales, driving increased volumes and improving customer satisfaction. In addition, Mr Agar will work closely with the product management teams to support and advice upon the NPD cycle.
