UpRight's TM12 vertical mast lift machine is proving very popular in Sweden. Over a few week period Zip-Up Svenska, UpRight's Swedish distributor, sold over 60 machines to rental companies. Three were existing customers, which already have 120 TM12s between them and the other was a new customer.

Rickard Holmlund of Zip-Up Svenska said, "They [customers] love the UpRight TM12 for its simplicity, its high performance and because it is a really robust and strong machine. The machine is so well-liked that it is selling itself - we have just sold 20 units to a new customer, after they were recommended to try the TM12 by another company. This word of mouth approval is the best marketing we can get."

The UpRight TM12 is a compact self-propelled lift suited to a wide range of applications, including maintenance, stock picking and record storage retrieval in offices and warehouses. The battery powered mast lift can be driven through standard doorways and carried in passenger elevators; it can lift two people with tools to a working height of 5.7 m.

Zip-Up Svenska is stepping up its sales to rental companies and has appointed a sales representative, Mathias Wetterberg, who is working out of the company's Gothenburg office.

Mr Holmlund said, "We chose to hire a new sales person at a time when our competitors are greatly reducing their numbers in Sweden. We feel this puts us in a much stronger position as the market slowly recovers."
