‘Rockstar’ treatment for office buildings

21 July 2015

AG Barr, the name behind soft drinks such as Irn-Bru and Tizer, has signed a three-year deal to rent two Solus buildings from Portakabin.

The buildings will provide flexible office and meeting space on the shop floor of its £41 million (€58.7 million) production facility in Milton Keynes.

Both buildings were delivered within a month of the contract being awarded, and each has been “wrapped” in branding well known to Barr consumers.

The first takes its look from the “Rockstar” product that the company distributes in the UK, while the second is a vinyl wrap denoting the Rubicon exotic juice drink range.

Factory manager Tim Stacey said: “We had a need for office and meeting space on the shop floor but because the manufacturing facility is still very new and growing, it is impossible to predict what our office requirements will be in three or four years’ time.

“We wanted an office solution that we could extend or move around if we need to and be adapted to meet the company’s changing needs, and Portakabin Hire building gives us far more flexibility.

“The team was very responsive and it’s great to have the option to personalise the buildings with our branding.”
