UK rental firm Eve has invested almost £1 million in 70 new lighting towers and delivery services as part of a three-year expansion plan for its recently acquired Brightlights rental division.

Eve, which bought Brightlights in October 2011, has expanded its rental fleet by adding two different tower light models. The new additions are a large number of the TowerLight BL1EVE tower light, an eco-friendly model created to Eve's own specifications, plus a smaller number of SMC TL-90s from ArcGen Hilta.

The BL1EVE, developed through a six month project between TowerLight and Eve, incorporates a 170 litre capacity fuel tank with a running time between refuelling of 340 hours.

In addition to expanding its hire fleet of tower lights, Eve is also opening a second depot at its central Bramley Vale site in Chesterfield and is investing a further £150000 in new delivery, service and maintenance vehicles. The company is also expanding its sales and service team.

Brightlights is working on expanding in the rail and highway sectors, with a number of its new SMC TL-90s set to be utilized by its rail customers, according to general manager, Neil Fenwick.
