Oil & Steel, one of many Italian manufacturers at APEX, will show its new Octopussy 2190, the latest tracked machine in its range.

The new model differs from previous Octopussy lifts in its boom design: it uses a double boom ‘pantograph' riser section over 10 m high that means the operator can rise vertically. "This particular solution reduces enormously the working time in several applications, for example in painting and in building front cleaning", said Oil & Steel. The 2190 has a 200 kg capacity aluminium basket, maximum working height is 21 m, and maximum outreach is 9 m.

Features of the machine include wired remote control that helps operators move the machine through narrow passages or unload it truck, and there is the option to fit a silent Hatz engine.

Also on show from Oil & Steel will be the 20 m working height Scorpion 2012.
