Socage presented the forSte 47TJJ, a 47m working telescopic truck mount with double jib, at APEX, which took place at the beginning of May in Amsterdam.

The platform can be mounted on a minimum 26 tonne minimum GVW and has a maximum 36m outreach and a safe working load of 600kg - six workers plus tools - with a basket rotation of 700°.

The forSte 47TJJ can be equipped with an hydraulic winch mounted on the jib, with 900 kg capacity, for use when the aluminium basket is removed.

In addition to the forSte 47TJJ Socage also showed the VT-VTJ van mounted series in Amsterdam, represented by the forSte 15VTJ, first launched at Bauma. It has a maximum height of 15 m and a jib.

During Apex Socage also presented the E Series truck mounts on 3.5 tonne chassis, with a capacity of 300 kg mounted on the manufacturer’s patented X-Factor chassis.  Another innovation of the E Series is the SPP (Socage Project Profile), a collaboration between Socage and Welser Profile to produce high strength boom profiles, as well as ultralight chassis using high strength steel.

SPP’s advantages include modularity of the machines, 30% – 50% reduction of the boom weight and a big reduction in fuel consumption. The E-series was represented by the forSte 20TJ eXtreme, with

a maximum working height of 19.5m and a maximum working outreach of 13.5m.
