Sany launched a 55 tonne capacity rough terrain crane at Bauma 2010.

The SRC50 has a four section, 34.5 m boom. Maximum lifting height is 35.8 m. The main winch lifting speed, with full load is 58 m/min, rising to 150 m/min without a load. The auxiliary winch has the same capabilities.

With the outriggers fully extended, the machine has a 7.2 m span, reducing to 3.1 m when fully retracted. According to the manufacturer the box girder frame is made from high grade steel.

The engine is a water-cooled 6-cylinder Cummins QSB6.7 diesel unit, providing 186 kW. The front and rear axles are powerd and steerable. On the suspension, lockouts on the rear axle permits oscillation to occur only when the boom is centred over the front of the machine.

There are a range of safety devices, said the company. The load moment limiter includes a large display screen, visual and audible warning system and automatic function stop system. Displays also show boom radius, angle and length details, as well as load informaton.
