A-Plant is double award winner

The Hire Association Europe's Excellence in Training Award is presented to Paul Fereday (right) managing director of A-Plant's Plant and Tools Division by Paul Gaze of ConstructionSkills.

UK rental company, A-Plant won two awards at Hire Association Europe's Hire Awards of Excellence: best contribution to health and safety, sponsored by Bosch and excellence in training sponsored by ConstructionSkills.

A-Plant has invested £0.5 million in producing and distributing a free Site Safety Pack which includes lots of health and safety information including a 60 page Health and Safety Handbook and a range of posters.

Training and development programs are available to everyone in the A-Plant business from the chief executive officer to the apprentices and extend from e-learning to classroom based training.

A-Plant's chief executive officer Sat Dhaiwal said, "We are absolutely delighted to win two top awards from the HAE. We've made significant investment and a great deal of progress in our health and safety and training initiative to ensure the safety of our employees and customers, to ensure our staff can reach their full potential and to achieve customer satisfaction, so it's fantastic for this to be recognised in the industry."
